Date night and a whole lot more

My wife and I went out to for a long anticipated date tonight. The last time we went out with our own agenda to plan our evening was sometime before Christmas.

We went to See Narnia. Oh my goodness what a great movie. Good special effects and the kind of movie that makes you want to go out and SLAY a dragon, or something like that. (We wouldnt have had to go far as we saw the movie in the inner city) Anyway a most excellent movie. The coolest part was when they were crossing a river and water was flowing around them. My wife and I kept looking behind us because we kept hearing rustling behind us. Turns out it was surround sound..go figure...we had a laugh. Many other inspiring moments in the movie...Best I have seen this year by far.

Before we left, our five year old totally lost it and was bawling his eyes out saying he didnt want us to leave. We managed to leave with some tender care from his oldest brother (yes CWG JR) Anyway we realized after while we were talking about it....(isn't it funny how parents get babysitters to get some adult time then they get out on thier date and talk about their kids...kinda ironic)

We realized that we havent spent any one to one time with our kids for a very long time.....something that is very special in our home. And not easy with five kids. It is so easy to get so caught up in life that we forget the simple things, the things that really matter.

Our five year old was crying out for our company, our companionship, our love. What a great security for a child. WOW

Also consider that C.S. Lewis may have been a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
