BUDGET '08 SILENT ON HOUSING

Sad....

When Minister Jim Flaherty stood to deliver the Conservative Government´s 2008 budget today he left 1.5 million Canadians in desperate housing need on the outside looking in. These are the families living in housing they can´t afford, isn´t safe, isn´t healthy and is bursting at the seams due to overcrowding. Wow, just caught up on your last post. I was encourged to hear you guys following the Lord, and diserning what HIS plans are, not your own. Bless you guys! In your faithfulness and perseverance, I pray God's ABUNDANT blessing on you and your family, the house He has in store for you is GREAT!
5 years..... so much can happen to 5 years. My hubby and I haven't even been married that long! I look back to the last 5 years of my life and I see a new husband, a new house, a new baby, along with relationships healed, walls broken down.....God will provide so much in these next 5 years. Keep your eyes on HIM. This will be another testimony He will build in you guys of His faithfulness and love.
I've been realizing more and more, how INCREDIBLY blessed we were, that God gave us our house when He did. I want to recognize the blessing to it's fullest, and know that if He didn't give us our house when he did, we wouldn't have one......I don't know where we'd be! We would'nt gotten booted out of where we were.....and fallen into that black hole where we would've been too rich to qualify for poor people things, and too poor to produce those things on our own. I couldn't imagine being stuck in a place where rent was retarded (if you even found a place) and a house was just not an option.

one word that's all;

greedy!

that's it, I don't know how many of them there MP's etc. own property as rental property but if any of them do they sure won't vote for anything that allows governmental restrictions on how much the rent should be...

I don't know, as far as I can tell most MP's etc. probably don't care about making affordable housing for purchase or rent...

I could rant, but that won't change what my rent is currently, nor in the future.

cheers
