A Hole in the wall

Saturday night I went out with my best friend and we had a great time. We have known each other for 17 years and it happened to be our anniversary (Mar 6 actually). So we went to a little restraunt in Shields. We had a 10 course meal. I took pictures of our food dishes. They prepare each meal as it is ordered. We arrived at 6 PM and left at 10 PM.

Hole in the wall. This was actually our table, we were totally secluded from the rest of the restaurant, (Great place to sneak a kiss without getting caught)

I will highlight the ten courses

We started off by buying a litre of Sangria to enjoy over the course of the evening ( a south American beverage) A combination of wine, fresh fruit, spirits and Canada dry. yummy

#1
Cheese stuffed prunes wrapped in bacon

#2
Beef mixture wrapped in phylo pastry

#3
Steamed mussels

#4
Butternut squash soup Very Yummy, so creamy

#5
Spinach salad with carmalized pear, blue cheese, Spanish onion with
an orange dressing

# 6
Raspberry and sea berry sorbet to clear the palate before the main meal

#7
Side ribs with lots of lemon zest, oven roasted potatoes, steamed snow peas and carrots.

#8
Shrimp with peppers and veggies

#9

Fillet mignon with
JalapeƱo salsa and saffron rice

#10
Apple tarte with cream sauce

And of course you cannot have a meal like this without finishing off with a good quality cup of Jo

Happy 15th anniversary My love

When I saw the stuff to clear the palate "for the main meal" I was thinking, Holy cow, they haven't even started yet!
I've never seen a meal like that before! Sneaking in the kiss...very cute.
Happy anniversary to the two of you! And many many more to come!

LOL I knew you were going to comment on the coffee Sarah. Thanks for your encouraging words Kjersti.
I would recommend this place to anyone needing to revitalize their relationship or want a time to be with the one you love. Did I mention that the food is to die for.
